Healthy Homes
LEARN MORE
The Healthy Homes Grant Program addresses multiple childhood diseases and injuries in the home. The program takes a comprehensive approach to these risks by focusing on housing-related hazards in a coordinated fashion, rather than addressing a single defect at a time. The HHP builds upon NCTHA’s successful Healthy Homes programs of this decade by expanding our efforts to address a variety of environmental health and safety concerns including mold, lead, allergens, asthma, carbon monoxide, home safety, pesticides, and radon.
Occupants of the property must meet low-income qualifications. Priority will be given for owner-occupied properties with a child under the age of ten living or regularly visiting the home, and/or occupants older than age 62, or families with at least one person with disabilities.
All work will be based on the results of a Healthy Homes Assessment.
All the program funding is currently allocated for this round of grant assistance. New applications are added to the waiting list for when/ if future grant dollars become available.
